Entertainment Columnist-Talent Manager, Ogie Diaz explained why he did not personally talk to his former talent, Liza Soberano, when the controversial “I Am Hope” vlog came out.

Diaz emphasized that he didn’t lie.

After the release of the actress’ Vlog, Boy Abunda aired a 2-part exclusive interview with the actress on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’.

Diaz’s latest Vlog entry mentioned that he received criticism after the second part of the interview with Soberano aired on Monday.

Diaz said, “Bago pa lumabas yung part 2, naglabas na kami ng sagot sa cliffhanger.”

During the Abunda interview, Soberano mentioned that Diaz should have spoken to her personally instead of publicly airing his grievances through a Vlog.

Diaz confirmed what his former talent said was true: they have peacefully and mutually separated as a “Manager” and a “Talent.”

Their contract officially ended on May 31, 2022. However, their communication remains.

When Soberano’s social media posts suddenly disappeared in February, Diaz allegedly sent her a message offering help in case her account was hacked.

Diaz even showed the text he sent to the actress on Viber, but she did not respond. Until the controversial “I Am Hope” Vlog came out.

Diaz explained, “Nag-react ako. Kasi sa narrative niya na na-bash si Liza, na-bash din kami. Kasi kami ang lumalabas na kinahon namin siya ; parang kinontrol namin siya. Since yun ang nasa vlog na public, natural ipagtatanggol ko ang sarili ko…Inilabas niya ‘yon, syempre ilalabas namin yung panig namin.”

In the second part of Boy Abunda’s interview aired on Monday, Liza Soberano stated she holds a grudge against Diaz because of his alleged false statements.

The actress aired out, “Nagtatampo po ako sa kaniya because he is saying so many things that are untrue. Why is he trying to say things to make people turn against me? He should’ve talked to me kasi para namang wala kami pinagsamahan.”

Diaz on the other hand countered that he did not produce lies nor did he say that the actress was “ungrateful”; all he said was a reminder to never burn bridges with his hope that the actress would be more successful in her newly chosen career path.

Diaz hoped that Liza would watch his Vlog in full.

Netizens praised Diaz for still wishing Soberano the best despite her lies about him.

Diaz also reiterated he doesn’t know where his former talent’s allegations were coming from because he had always been present and supportive of her from day one.
