The public cancer care fundraiser is part of the “Closer to Home Than You Think” campaign launched March 2023. So far it has raised $20 million, with a goal of raising $40 million.

According to Interior Health and the operators of the clinic, the closure is not due to a lack of physicians, but rather a need for more support staff.
